Australia await Wales in a two-Test series next June |
The Australian Rugby Union has confirmed details of two fixtures against Wales next summer. Wales will face Australia in the first Test at Sydney's Olympic Stadium on 26 May, before clashing at Lang Park, Brisbane, on 2 June.
Australia are then scheduled to play Fiji in Perth on 9 June.
The Wallabies are about to begin their European tour with a match against the Ospreys in Swansea on Wednesday, before facing Wales in Cardiff on 4 November.
The matches in June will be a taster of what is to come in the 2007 World Cup, as Australia, Wales and Fiji have all been drawn in Pool B along with Canada and Asia 1 - likely to be Japan.
Australia coach John Connolly said: "A two-Test series against Wales is a big challenge in anyone's language.
"Fiji are one of the world's most unpredictable and colourful rugby teams in the world. On their day they can beat anyone in world rugby.
"There is an added incentive to win these games as we know we will face Wales and Fiji in our World Cup pool matches in September and October next year."
