Regan King has impressed during his first season with the Scarlets |
Regan King has committed himself to Llanelli Scarlets by signing a three-year extension to his contract. The once-capped New Zealand centre arrived at Stradey Park from Stade Francais last May and will now stay with the Scarlets until June 2009.
"I'm ecstatic to have re-signed with the Scarlets," said the 25-year-old.
"I've really settled into the team and have found a home in Llanelli. I'm thrilled to have been in a position to extend my stay so early on."
Scarlets chief executive Stuart Gallacher said: "We are delighted that Regan has committed to the Scarlets for a further three years.

"His impact on the team this season has been significant and he has been an outstanding success."
The season has been one of falling just short for the Scarlets, failing to reach the Heineken Cup knock-out stage, losing the Powergen Cup final and falling behind in the Celtic League - having lost to the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday night.
But King sees a bright future for the west Wales region, especially with plans well advanced for a new state-of-the art stadium at Pemberton.
"There's no doubt that the season has been a bit of a roller-coaster, but we're Powergen Cup finalists in it's inaugural season and I'm sure that we will go from strength to strength in the coming seasons," King added.
"I'm confident that the Scarlets will again become a force to be reckoned with in Europe.
"And after being at the Liberty Stadium on Tuesday evening - despite the result - you can't deny that having a brand-new stadium as your home is a very attractive prospect and something that I am really looking forward to."
