Aled Brew led Newport Gwent Dragons' 10-try demolition of a Gwent select XV at Pandy Park on Wednesday night.
The wing, signed from the Ospreys on a season-long loan, did a passable impression of older brother Nathan, a Dragons regular, with a hat-trick.
Blindside flanker Joe Bearman also grabbed a brace, while fellow back-row Nic Fitisemanu carried the ball well.
Bryn Griffiths, Peter Sidoli, Lee Harrison, Ceri Sweeney and Steve Jones completed the try-fest.
The Dragons' opponents were drawn from Gwent's Welsh Premiership clubs, assembled from Ebbw Vale, Cross Keys, Bedwas and Newport.
Dragons coach Paul Turner had hinted before the game that it was a chance for the Premiership players to catch his eye.
But the understandable lack of cohesion in what amounted to a scratch side rarely allowed the Gwent Premier players to shine, having to spend most of the evening tackling.
The Dragons now move on to further pre-season games against Cornish Pirates and Bath, before beginning their Magners League campaign on 1 September away to Glasgow Warriors.
