Young has been heavily criticised by Blues fans |
It has emerged that Blues coach Dai Young offered to quit after last week's loss at Leeds and Heineken Cup exit. The ex-Wales and Lions prop had talks with Cardiff Blues chairman Peter Thomas and other board members.
Young said he would fall on his sword, but it was agreed that they would work through the region's problems together.
The coach has since had talks with his team, berating a lack of commitment against Perpignan and Leeds ahead of Friday's league game with Edinburgh.
"We expect a much better attitude from our players, the lack of commitment was the most disappointing thing about last week's loss at Leeds," Young told BBC Sport Wales.
Young has been the subject of vociferous criticism from Blues fans on rugby messagebboards.
Former Wales and Cardiff scrum-half Andy Moore told BBC Sport that he would not bet on Young being at the Blues' helm next season.
