Jonathan Humphreys ended his playing career at Bath

Humphreys, who won 35 caps, retired from playing with Bath last month, who along with the Cardiff Blues had also offered him a coaching role.

Rugby manager Derwyn Jones said: "We are building a strong coaching team of which Jon will be an integral part."

Other good news is that props Adam Jones and Duncan Jones have agreed new deals to the end of the 2006/7 season.
