King started his career with Super 12 side Waikato Chiefs |
Llanelli Scarlets have signed centre Regan King and scrum-half Clive Stuart-Smith on two year deals. King, 24, was an unused replacement for Stade Francais in this year's Heineken Cup final and has one All Blacks cap.
Stuart-Smith, 22, joins from English Premiership side Worcester and is a former England Under-21 captain.
"King is a young, quality New Zealand player with a vast amount of experience for his age," said Scarlets chief executive Stuart Gallacher.
"Clive is an outstanding young prospect who's career has stalled somewhat in the last season at Worcester.
"With Dwayne Peel away with the Lions and on International duty Clive will be very much involved in the first team."
Former Wales and Lions scrum-half Robert Jones has also joined the region.
Jones will work closely with director of rugby Gareth Jenkins to identify potential short and long term new signings.
