Wasps have won three successive Zurich Premiership titles |
Celtic League champions Ospreys will play a cross-border challenge with Zurich Premiership kings Wasps as their first match in the new Morfa stadium. The 26 August tie will be mouth watering, with Wasps having won the English title three years in a row.
"This will be a memorable occasion for all, a perfect event to welcome fans to a wonderful venue for Ospreys rugby," said regional manager Derwyn Jones.
"I'm delighted Wasps have accepted our invitation to play us in Swansea."
The Ospreys will ground-share the new 20,000-seat stadium at Morfa with Swansea City FC.
The football club will play the first game at the ground, a pre-season friendly with Premiership Fulham on 23 July.
Wales' football team have arranged a friendly with Slovenia at the stadium on 17 August.
