A virus means Robinson is yet to play this season |
Wales fly-half Nicky Robinson has signed a new deal to keep him at the Cardiff Blues. The 23-year-old was first choice No 10 on Wales' summer tour, but has not played all season after being struck down by a mystery virus.
He is now back in training and eager to get back in action for the Blues.
"Like many other members of the current squad I am convinced that the Blues' set-up is moving in the right direction," said Robinson.

"Because of my illness this season I have had plenty of time to sit down and think about my future and how best my career will develop. "The answer is, quite simply, that I want to stay here and be part of the resurgence in the team. I am more than happy to commit myself to that.
"Obviously I've had a tough time recently but I think the worst is over and the training is going well.
"Unless there are any further setbacks I will soon be back in action. With my contract signed I can now relax on that front and concentrate on getting back to full match fitness."
Robinson's brother Jamie extended his contract at the Blues last month, along with fellow Wales centre Tom Shanklin.
The capital region expect other members of the squad to follow their lead shortly, having completed the reorganisation of their coaching set-up with the recruitment of Rob Howley.
