New Dragons coach Paul Turner says the Gwent regional side needs to build a new stadium or redevelop their current home at Rodney Parade in Newport. The former Harlequins assistant coach admits finances are tight, but warned the region must invest for the future.
"We've got to develop something in is this region," he told BBC Wales Sport.
"Whether we develop our grounds or follow the Ospreys and Scarlets and build a new super stadium - but it's crucial for the future of the region."
Turner believes the Dragons have struggled to spread the regional rugby message throughout Gwent over the past two years.
But the former Newport and Wales fly-half is looking forward to the challenge despite the limited resources at his disposal.
"It's well documented the finances are not great in the region - we have what we have and we've got to get on with it," Turner added.
"I knew that when I took the role on. I'm still quite energetic about what I can bring to this region.
"One's obviously the knowledge of the region. Guys up the valley who have decided not to watch the Dragons, we'll probably won't be able to change them.
"But I'm more interested in the younger element because that's where I think the big market is these days."
