Powell set to return from injury
Ryan Powell
The Blues have missed Powell at half-back
Blues and Wales scrum-half Ryan Powell will return to action this week after six months out with a shoulder injury.

Powell will play for one of the region's Premier clubs, Llanharan, against Neath on Wednesday evening.

Blues' director of coaching David Young said: "Ryan has had to be very patient but now he is raring to go."

Meanwhile, the Blues' Namibian lock Heino Senekal has joined English National League One side Penzance on loan until the end of the year.

"With three other international locks - Craig Quinnell, Deiniol Jones and Robert Sidoli - and a promising under-21 international, James Goode, in our regional squad, playing opportunities for Heino have been limited," said Blues chief executive Robert Norster.

"We have initially agreed a loan period with Penzance until the end of the year but with the proviso that if we need him for the Blues he will return."
