Young has been summoned by Graham Henry |
Cardiff Blues coach Dai Young is heading to New Zealand to help coach the All Blacks' props. "I am going at the invitation of (New Zealand coaches) Graham Henry and Steve Hansen," said Young.
"They have asked me to help out with the young props in the All Blacks squad and I consider it an honour."
Meanwhile, two meetings of European Rugby Cup in Dublin next week will decide whether the Blues will be allowed in next season's Heineken Cup.
The capital side seemed destined for the Parker Pen competitions after finishing fifth amongst the Welsh regions in last season's Celtic League.
But with the demise of the Celtic Warriors, the Welsh Rugby Union is understood to be pushing hard to ensure that four Welsh sides are represented in Europe's premier club competition.
Tournament organisers have insisted that a Welsh side must play in the Parker Pen competition, but the WRU are likely to argue that Newport, the semi-professional Welsh Premier champions, can take that place.
Wales will try to persuade the other competing nations on Tuesday, and if successful a recommendation will be made on Wednesday to the tournament's board, on which WRU group chief executive David Moffett has a seat.
