Cardiff Blues prop Kenneth Fourie has left the Arms Park by mutual agreement with the club. The 27-year-old South African joined in 2000 after spells with West Hartlepool and Leicester Tigers.
"It's obviously sad to be leaving, but my wife and I have decided to take a break and consider future options, inside and outside rugby," said Fourie.
"I am leaving by mutual agreement. I am particularly grateful to the back-room staff and coach David Young."
The Blues are also understood to be looking for a loan deal for their Namibian lock Heino Senekal in order to give him some game time.
Back-room changes are expected at the club, with an extra coach to be brought in to lighten the load on Dai Young.
