Former Celtic Warriors captain Gareth Thomas has been voted Welsh Player of the Year by Welsh rugby journalists for a second successive year. The Toulouse-bound full-back won 80% of the votes in the poll organised by the Buy as You View Rugby Annual for Wales.
Scarlets full-back Barry Davies was chosen as Most Promising Player by members of the Welsh Rugby Writers' Association.
Ospreys full-back Gavin Henson was named Most Overlooked Player.
Dragons flanker Jason Forster was second to Henson - both of whom have now been chosen for the summer tour by new coach Mike Ruddock.
Warriors prop Gethin Jenkins and Scarlets scrum-half Michael Phillips were behind Davies in the most promising player award.
