Robinson has not played for the Blues at all this season |
Blues fly-half Nicky Robinson has been told he faces an extended period on the sidelines to recover from illness. "Nicky went back to a specialist on Monday and has been given another four-week rehabilitation," said Blues assistant coach Geraint John.
"So it will be a minimum of 10 weeks before he is back in training.
"That's a blow. We'd expected him back a bit earlier than the end of January and if he returns it will be around the Six Nations when we have no games."
Nicky's brother and Blues team-mate Jamie also received a blow to his comeback hopes this week. The centre had an injection in his knee and will be out for up to four weeks.
