Raiwalui believes his future lies outside Wales |
Newport captain Simon Raiwalui is expected to sign for English club Saracens at the end of the season. BBC Wales Sport understands that the Fiji international lock has agreed to join the Zurich Premiership after this autumn's World Cup.
Raiwalui's contract at Newport expires in May and the 28-year-old has acknowledged this season will probably be his last at Rodney Parade.
Playing contracts for the likes of Raiwalui will be few and far between as the new Welsh regional sides try to reduce the number of overseas players on their books for next season.
Raiwalui was part of Newport's Principality Cup winning team of 2000-01 and has become a firm favourite with the Newport faithful since his arrival in 1999.
Saracens are looking to bolster their pack after suffering a disappointing league season.
They currently lie eight in the Zurich Premiership with three games to go.
