Trio pull out of Scotland A defence

Ospreys' Walker has withdrawn because of a family illness

Nikki Walker, Richie Vernon and Ryan Grant have pulled out of the Scotland A squad aiming to retain the IRB Nations Cup in Romania this month.

Glasgow's Peter Horne takes the place of Ospreys winger Walker, who has withdrawn because of a family illness.

Flanker Richie Vernon, of Glasgow, has has a shoulder injury and is replaced with Edinburgh's Fraser McKenzie.

Lewis Niven, from Scotland's National Academy, steps in for Edinburgh prop Grant, who has a chest injury.

The Scotland A squad leave for Romania on Tuesday.
