BBC Scotland will televise the two Tests against Argentina |
BBC Scotland will provide live television coverage of Scotland's two Tests against Argentina this summer. Andy Robinson's side face the Pumas on Saturday 12 June in Tucuman and again in Mar Del Plata seven days later. Both matches, which kick-off at 1945 BST, will be shown live on BBC Two Scotland, with radio commentary and website streaming also available. Ewan Angus, BBC Scotland's head of sport, said: "We're delighted to bring the action live for fans back home." He added: "It's a long haul to Argentina and I'm sure the supporters who can't make the trip will welcome the chance to see the team's performances in the summer Tests." Scottish Rugby's Dominic McKay said it was important Scotland fans would be able to see both Tests. "We are delighted that Scotland supporters throughout the whole of the UK will be able to watch these important international fixtures," he added. "With Scotland finishing the Six Nations campaign on a high with a great win away against Ireland, the two Tests against Argentina will be hard-fought encounters, particularly as both nations will meet again in the Rugby World Cup pool stages next year in New Zealand." BBC Radio Scotland will carry live commentary of both Tests and they will also be available across the UK on the BBC Sport Scotland website and the red button. Argentina were 9-6 winners at Murrayfield in November, ending Robinson's opening run of wins against Fiji and Australia.
