Low (right) was injured during Friday's defeat by Cardiff Blues in Glasgow
Glasgow Warriors prop Moray Low will miss the rest of Scotland's Six Nations campaign as he requires knee surgery. The 25-year-old was injured during Friday's 30-7 Magners League defeat by Cardiff Blues. Scotland doctor James Robson said: "The scan has showed damage to Moray's right knee. Typical recovery from such a procedure can take up to eight weeks." Low won his sixth Scotland cap against France earlier this month but was dropped for the defeat by Wales. Following his injury, he was not named in either the senior or Scotland A squads for this weekend's matches against their Italian counterparts. "He will now be under the care of specialist orthopaedic surgeon Graham Lawson at Spire Murrayfield Hospital and will have to undergo keyhole surgery," said Robson after receiving the results of Wednesday's scan. Scotland lost three key players from their squad in the bruising 31-24 defeat by Wales. Thom Evans has since undergone two operations on a neck injury, fellow winger Rory Lamont suffered medial ligament damage, while full-back Chris Paterson suffered kidney damage. Low has joined them in being ruled out for the rest of the Six Nations campaign.
