Paterson has scored 21 tries in his record points haul for Scotland

Edinburgh full-back Chris Paterson has been voted player of the season by the Scotland Rugby Supporters Club.

The 31-year-old is Scotland's all-time leading points scorer with 738 and his cap total of 95 is also a record.

Roddy Grant won the Scotland Sevens Player of the Season while Glasgow Warriors centre Max Evans was voted Magners League Player of the Season.

Ayr's Kenny Murray was coach of the season after he led the side to title triumph in Premiership 1.
