Parks one of four out for Scots

Frank Hadden
Hadden has made several changes as he seeks a vital victory

Stand-off Dan Parks has been dropped for Scotland's second Test in Buenos Aires against the Pumas on Saturday.

Phil Godman replaces Parks, and is one of four personnel, and six positional changes to Frank Hadden's side after defeat in Rosario.

Thom Evans, Simon Danielli and Johnny Beattie are others who miss out.

Simon Webster, John Barclay and Hugo Southwell all start, while Chris Paterson will earn his record 88th cap on the wing.

Hadden has chosen to shuffle his pack significantly for the final match of the season, after the 21-15 reverse last Saturday.

The starting XV in Buenos Aires will feature no fewer than 10 Edinburgh players.

"The only reason for the changes is to finish the season with a win," said Hadden.

"The key change is the stand-off Phil Godman.

Open-side flanker Barclay has been brought to replace Beattie, with Hogg moving to the number eight role.

Scotland coach

"He's been playing consistently well for some time now and deserves this opportunity.

"It makes sense if we are to get the best out of him to surround him with familiar faces.

"We believe that the breakdown was an area of concern from last week and that is reflected in John Barclay's inclusion," said the Scotland coach.

"We expect him to do what he normally does extremely well and help us to be more effective in that area."

In the backs Webster comes in for Evans on the wing, with Paterson moving to the other wing position vacated by Danielli, and Southwell filling in at full back.

"It is important to use Chris' flexibility to find the right balance," said Hadden.

"On this occasion we all agreed he should play as a wing. Besides, Hugo is a very good full-back."

Scotland team to face Argentina in Buenos Aires:

Southwell, Paterson, Cairns, Morrison, Webster, Godman, Blair, Jacobsen, Ford, Murray, Mustchin, MacLeod, Strokosch, Barclay, Hogg.
