White has had knee problems before |
Scotland captain Jason White will miss the national team's summer tour of Argentina as he requires knee surgery. Scrum-half Mike Blair is likely to continue with the captain's armband in White's absence, after deputising in this year's Six Nations tournament. A serious knee injury prevented Sale flanker White from taking part in the 2007 Six Nations. The Scots play will play two Tests against the Pumas, on 7 June in Rosario and a week later in Buenos Aires. White has been able to play for his club Sale in recent weeks, although he was injured for Friday's European Challenge Cup semi-final win over Bath. The 29-year-old's Six Nations campaign was also hampered after he sustained concussion.
