Lamont was substituted after suffering injury in the win over Italy |
Scotland full-back Rory Lamont has been given the all-clear to resume training after sustaining an injury in the 18-16 World Cup victory over Italy. Lamont landed awkwardly on his head during Saturday's game in St Etienne and was replaced a few moments later.
Scotland doctor James Robson said he would resume training on Wednesday ahead of Sunday's quarter-final against Argentina in Paris.
The rest of the Scotland squad had a clean bill of health, Robson added.
Lamont was taken to hospital as a precaution, shortly after being withdrawn from the game against Italy.
But tests showed no damage and he will resume training with the rest of Frank Hadden's squad next week.
