Border Reivers celebrated qualifying for the Heineken Cup for the first time with a handsome win over the Dragons. Simon Danielli and Opeta Palepoi scored first-half tries for the Reivers, with Gareth Wyatt scoring for the Dragons.
But the home side relaxed in the second half after learning that Glasgow's defeat to Connacht meant their European place was assured for next season.
Danielli scored his second try, Nikki Walker added a brace and Mark Blair went over to spark the celebrations.
Calum MacRae landed all five conversions, as well as a first-half penalty.
The Dragons will now turn their attention to next Friday's Heineken Cup play-off against Italian side Overmach Parma at their Rodney Parade ground.
