Craig Smith has won seven Scotland caps |
Scotland prop Craig Smith has signed a new two-year contract with Edinburgh. The 26-year-old signed from Edinburgh Reivers in 2000 and he has now played 125 games for the professional outfit.
Smith, who has also won seven Scotland caps, said: "I am looking forward to next season. Hopefully, we can build on what we have achieved this season.
"We have improved and hopefully we can keep going forward and aim for a higher finish in the Celtic League and have another competitive year in Europe."
Edinburgh coach Frank Hadden said: "It is great to re-sign Craig. He is an outstanding rugby player and he has made significant progress in the scrum.
"There is no doubt that, at 26 years of age, his best is yet to come."
York-born Smith also played his club rugby with Berwick before moving to Melrose.
