Donnie Macfadyen missed the Six Nations after knee surgery |
Scotland flanker Donnie Macfadyen has not given up on a place in the British and Irish Lions squad, despite missing the Six Nations through injury. "My rehab programme is on course and I'm feeling better and stronger every day," said the Glasgow open-side.
"I don't think I'll be fit enough to make the rest of the league schedule.
"My big hope is that the guys make it into the Celtic Cup, which would give me the opportunity to prove I'm ready to go with the Lions."
Macfadyen has had two operations on his injured knee since January.
The top eight Celtic League sides qualify for the end-of-season knockout cup competition. Glasgow currently occupy eighth spot.
