Taylor was unlucky in New Zealand |
Scotland back-row forward Simon Taylor made a welcome return to rugby, playing the first half of Edinburgh Gunners' 7-5 loss to a Munster development XV. Taylor flew home early from the British and Irish Lions' unsuccessful tour of New Zealand with a hamstring injury.
And, after months of rehabilitation, he was cautiously optimistic.
"It's good to be back. It has been a tough over the past few months, but the game went well for me - I'll have to see how I feel over the next few days."
Edinburgh and new Scotland coach Frank Hadden echoed Taylor's thoughts.
"This was valuable match practise for Simon, but we'll take it a day at a time and see what shape he's in," he said.
"It was good to see him back."
