Brave Borders toppled in Euro Cup | | The Borders bowed out of the European Challenge Cup after losing the second leg of their second round tie with Clermont-Auvergne 23-34 at Netherdale. Trailing by 30 points from the first leg in France, the Scots turned in a brave performance on home soil. Only a freak interception and a score deep in stoppage time prevented the Borders from earning a win. Nikki Walker and Stuart Moffat scored tries - both converted by Charlie Hore, who added three penalties.
