Tonga's Sililo Martens says he had to forget his Welsh connections ahead of the South Sea islanders' narrow World Cup defeat to the men in red. The scrum-half plies his daily trade with Welsh regional side Celtic Warriors - and has even found an acting role in Welsh language soap opera Pobol y Cwm - but the physical number nine says he forgot about friendship for the sake of his country.
"I put aside mates today, I was there for my Tongan team-mates, but I'll have a drink with the Welsh boys afterwards," said Martens.

"We (Tonga) were disappointed with our attitude against Italy but we made up for it against Wales. "Against Italy we stepped back, which isn't the Tongan style - this time we just said 'why not' and stepped up.
