South Africa captain Corne Krige insists his side will continue to adopt physical tactics during their World Cup campaign. The South Africans have been accused by both England and Australia of foul play in the past year.
"In no ways are we going to change the way we play," said Krige.
"We always want to play physical, but we want to play within the laws."
He added: "All along we have said we wanted to be a disciplined side. If anyone in this squad steps out of line he will be dealt with either by the team or the officials."
Krige's assurances follow his description of England captain Martin Johnson as "one of the dirtiest captains in world rugby".
The back-row forward admitted that he made the remark but denied he intended to stir up trouble before the two sides meet in Pool C on 18 October. "I was shocked to see it in print," said Krige. "It was irresponsible on my side but also on the journalist's side."
The last time the two sides met at Twickenham in November, England romped to a 53-3 victory.
And Krige believes that is enough motivation for Johnson's men when they meet in Perth.
"They won by 50 points in November," said the South Africa captain. "So there's no reason they should not have advantage anyway."
