Betsen cited for stamping
France flanker Serge Betsen
Betsen was later sin-binned in the game
France flanker Serge Betsen has been cited for stamping on England scrum-half Matt Dawson's head during Sunday's semi-final.

Dawson left the field with blood streaming from his head after the incident during England's 24-7 victory, which was not seen by referee Paddy O'Brien.

And on Monday, match citing commissioner Doug Hunter said Betsen would have to appear before a World Cup judiciary panel on Wednesday to answer the charge.

Betsen endured a torrid time on Sunday after scoring the game's only try early in the first half.

He was continually penalised by the referee before being sin-binned for a late tackle on England fly-half Jonny Wilkinson.
