England were mobbed when they fley back to England at 4am |
English rugby union fans have had to wait two weeks to give the national team a proper heroes' welcome. More than 8,000 turned out in the middle of the night to greet them at Heathrow Airport.
Up to 500,000 are expected to line the streets at lunchtime on Monday to pay tribute to the team's success.
If so, it will dwarf the low-key bus trip down the Edgware Road laid on for the England World Cup-winning football team in 1966.
