Worcester Warriors' young squad found the Middlesex Sevens tough going as they exited the tournament after only two matches. They put up a good showing in going down 28-24 against Saracens in their first-round tie. But they then found Harlequins too hot to handle in the plate as they were outplayed in losing 40-0. A pre-season match against Doncaster led to Warriors sending a largely inexperienced squad to Twickenham.
