Warriors lads go rampant in Wales

Will Runciman
Kicker Will Runciman has been on loan with Manchester this season.

Worcester Warriors Development ran in 10 tries as they hammered Gogledd Cymru 74-3 at Colwyn Bay.

Skipper James Collins grabbed a brace of tries on the night, while Will Runciman slotted nine conversions.

Lee Douglas, Warriors Academy Strength & Conditioning coach, stepped in as a late replacement for the injured Charlie Fellows and scored four tries.

Louis Silver, James Freeman, Tom Wheatcroft and Michael Penn were also among the scorers.

Three Warriors youngsters are in the final 26-strong England Under-18 squad for this season's AER Tournament in France in April.

Props Louis Padian and Chris Fox, and number eight Matt Kvesic secured their places in the final squad after a trial match against the Warriors Academy.

Kvesic played for England Under-16s last season while he was a pupil at Blundells School. He transferred to Worcester Sixth Form College last summer.

The trio will be back at Bromsgrove School for a further training weekend from 6-8 March, which will include a match against the Northampton Saints Academy.

England will then play Japan High Schools at Plymouth Albion on 22 March ahead of their opening game in the AER Tournament against Georgia in Toulon on 5 April.
