Chris Latham scored a try on his come-back from a knee injury

Worcester Warriors fullback Chris Latham has launched something of a broadside at his team mates after the 20-all draw with Bristol.

Latham told the post match press gathering that he felt they needed to look at their individual preparation:

"You can be upbeat and positive but there's also a time when you have to have a hard look at yourselves.

"It comes down to the individual, it's not something that can be team measured, it's an individual thing."

Latham was disappointed to drop points in his first game back after a knee injury:

"If we want to move forward, we certainly have to do that as well as the mental side of it for a full 80 minutes.

"Good teams can play bad but still win games because they are technically and mentally strong.

"In the first period, we probably deserved to lose and, if you look at the second-half, we put ourselves in a winning position but we mentally switched off in a couple of areas which ultimately let them back.

Obviously it wasn't one of our better performances."

Latham said he was happy with making a return to action and with his own fitness, but the draw had left a bitter taste.

"I am just disappointed with the result as we are a team who were in eighth spot, they are a team who are coming last with a lot of off-field issues.

"That can bring teams together, granted, but we should have been a hell of a lot better than we were.

"I hate draws, absolutely despise them. It's really a nothing. You get two points but I'd rather a result, I'd rather lose or win.

"To take the next step, we need the extra one per cent mentally across the whole board."
