Luscombe not fully fit - Ruddock

Hal Luscombe came on for Rico Gear against Bourgoin

Worcester Warriors director of rugby Mike Ruddock says Wales international centre Hal Luscombe is only 90% fit.

The summer signing from Harlequins, 27, played his first game for the club when he came on against Bourgoin last Saturday following knee surgery.

"He hasn't had any warm up games, and no pre-season game like the rest of the guys have," Ruddock told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"Hopefully over the coming weeks he will be getting stronger and fitter."

Meanwhile, skipper Pat Sanderson and All Blacks Sam Tuitupou and Rico Gear all missed training at the start of the week with a flu bug.

Ruddock says Gear is only rated as 50-50 for the game against Bristol on Saturday, as he also has a groin injury, but is hopeful the other players will resume training later this week.
