Windo turned 39 on Wednesday

Worcester's veteran prop Tony Windo has been given a two-year contract as assistant forwards coach at Sixways.

Windo, who could well make his 100th Guinness Premiership appearance at Bristol this weekend, is to retire at the end of the season.

"Since November Mike (Ruddock) has asked if I would have a bit of input into what we do," he told BBC Hereford and Worcester.

"It's been steady progress, so hopefully things should go quite well."
