Worcester Warriors tight-head prop Chris Horsman is out of action for four months after rupturing a bicep and snapping a tendon in his arm. The Welshman picked up the injury during last Friday's defeat to Leeds.
Horsman had surgery on Wednesday night and medics told him to expect a return to action by the end of February.
Director of rugby Mike Ruddock said: "Knowing Chris he will try his hardest to prove medical science wrong and get back before the projected timescale."
"We're obviously disappointed for Chris that he has received this significant injury, however we wish him every success with his recovery."
