Former Worcester boss John Brain has replaced Martin Haag as forwards coach at Premiership side Bristol. Brain was axed by Worcester just 48 hours after they survived relegation on the final day of last season.
Bristol head coach Richard Hill called Brain "one of the leading forwards coaches in England".
Brain said: "Bristol is an ambitious club. I have been impressed by the calibre of the people involved, so the decision to join them was an easy one."
Bristol chief executive David White praised the departing Haag, whose contract had been due to expire in 2008.
"Since the 2003/2004 season Martin has had a significant impact on Bristol Rugby gaining promotion to the Premiership and re-establishing itself as a well-performed Premiership team," he said.
"Martin is a capable, well respected coach and a popular member of the management team.
"Bristol Rugby would like to publicly thank him for the contribution he has made and wish him and his family every success in the future."
