Coach Brian McLaughlin gives his thoughts after Ulster's 35-10 defeat by Munster at Thomond Park
Coach Brian McLaughlin insisted Ulster were remaining positive despite two inter-provincial defeats in quick succession in the Magners League.
McLaughlin felt Saturday's display in the 35-10 away to Munster was a lot better than against Leinster on Monday.
"We had a chance to go 17-0 up but just did not get over the line," he said.
"We defended our line with pride but in the end they were just a little too strong for us. However, there were some great individual performances."
Ulster had led 10-0 in Limerick but were gradual worn down by Munster's powerful second half charge.

McLaughlin, who made 12 changes from the side which stated in the 30-13 defeat at home to Leinster five days earlier, said he could not fault any of his Ulster players.
"They all put 100% in and that is what we asked for," he added.
"Obviously, the scoreline is disappointing. We did not want to give Munster a bonus point.
"But I think we had a lot of young players out there who played well and will have had a huge learning experience from this."
McLaughlin said Ulster would now regroup to face Benetton Treviso in Friday's league game at Ravenhill before crucial Heineken Cup Pool Four matches against Biarritz and Aironi.
