Paddy Wallace was scheduled to miss the game because of a back injury |
Ulster's Magners League clash with the Dragons scheduled for Friday at Ravenhill has been postponed. The decision was taken at lunchtime on Thursday following a pitch inspection and with no sign of an improvement in the freezing conditions. "With the Dragons due to travel this evening, Ulster Rugby have been forced to call off the game," said an Ulster statement on Thursday afternoon. The game has yet to be rescheduled by the Magners League. News of the postponement came shortly after both teams for the game had been announced. Paddy Wallace had been ruled out for Ulster because of a back injury. Wallace was set to be replaced by Ian Whitten while Andrew Trimble and Tom Court returning with Stephen Ferris and Ruan Pienaar named on the bench. Dragons had made one change in personnel from the starting line-up that beat Munster in Newport last weekend. Adam Jones came in for Rob Sidoli with Scott Morgan on the bench where he was scheduled to be joined by Wales back Will Harries. Ulster lie fourth in the table on 28 points, with the Dragons eighth on 17 points after their victory over leaders Munster.
