Paddy Wallace challenges Leinster's Isa Necewa at the RDS |
Ulster coach Matt Williams criticised his team's defence after Sunday's 32-6 defeat by Leinster in Dublin. "We're simply not ruthless enough about capitalising on our positive play and a lot of the Leinster points were from poor tackles," he told the News Letter. "We missed tackles rather than them actually creating the opportunities - that is simply not on. "I know what we are doing is still to a degree, a work in progress, but I feel our form is inconsistent." He added: "I feel that is going to continue for a while." Ulster were just 6-3 behind at the break before Leinster surged clear in the second half. "We made five line breaks and did not get a point in that first half," said Williams. "If you look then at Leinster, they had three line breaks in the second half and scored off all three. "If we are going to play like we did here then we are going to keep losing games."
