Nagusa in action against Japan in the Pacific Cup |
Ulster are being strongly linked with a move for Fijian international winger Timoci Nagusa. The 21-year-old has played four times for Fiji within the last month after making his debut in the Pacific Cup game against Samoa on 7 June. He has already scored two tries for Fiji and Ulster appear to be earmarking him as a replacement for Tommy Bowe. Nagusa is a specialist winger and he showed impressive running ability in Fiji's recent Pacific Cup games. He works as a police constable in Fiji but he now appears likely to start a full-time career with the Irish province. | 606: DEBATE |
Ulster have already signed South African star Robbie Diack, Queensland Reds pair Clinton Schifcofske and Ed Donoghue plus Leinster scrum-half Cillian Willis during the summer. South Africa international prop BJ Botha is also expected to sign for Matt Williams' team before the start of the new season. Winger Bowe has left Ravenhill for EDF Energy Cup champions Ospreys, while Justin Harrison, Neil Best, Roger Wilson, Mark Bartholomeusz and Kieran Campbell all departed at the end of last season. Long-serving fly-half David Humphreys also retired from playing duty.
