Mark McCall watches Ulster's defeat with assistant Steve Williams |
Mark McCall's failure to turn up for his usual media interviews at Ravenhill on Friday has sparked more speculation about his future as Ulster coach. Ulster crumbled to a 32-14 defeat by Gloucester in the Heineken Cup, leaving McCall under mounting pressure.
Steve Williams, McCall's assistant, was left to reflect on a disastrous night for the province.
"Of course we are under pressure. It is the nature of the job and that is all I
want to say on that," Williams said.
"We were out of the game with 20 minutes gone. We made basic errors and we
were punished.
"They had world class players and they punish you if you make
errors. They got exceptional scores from our errors."
