Simon Danielli is hoping to rejuvenate his career with Ulster |
Scottish international winger Simon Danielli will join Ulster on a two-year contract at the end of this season. Danielli moves from Border Reivers, where he has played since the 2004-05 season after switching from Bath.
The Edinburgh-born player represented England Under-21s before making his debut for the country of his birth against Italy in 2003.
Danielli has won 13 caps for Scotland but he has been out of the favour during this season's Six Nations.
Ulster coach Mark McCall said that he was "very pleased" at Daniell's decision to join his side.
"Although he is a very experienced player, having represented Scotland, Bath and the Borders, at only 27 we feel he still has his best years ahead of him," said McCall.
Danielli said that he was "excited and honoured" at the prospect of playing for Ulster.
"The fans are terrific and the atmosphere at Ravenhill is one of the best I've ever experienced," he said.
"I'm looking forward to playing in a team with so many world-class players and such strong ambitions."
