Mark McCall's Ulster are five points clear in the league |
Ulster coach Mark McCall is looking for a better performance from his side as they prepare to face Toulouse in their opening Heineken Cup match. The Irish province ran in five tries in a league win over the Cardiff Blues but McCall was not enirely satisfied.
"Somehow we were only 5-0 down at the 20-minute mark, but after that we were much better," said McCall.
"We need to improve but I think we are capable of doing that and there is a winning mentality there now."
Ulster's win over the Blues moved them five points clear at the top of Magners League.
Five wins and two defeats leaves them on 24 points, a haul which pleased McCall.
"We were worried about the international players not being available at the start," he said.
"But the league will be won in the last five matches and we want to be up there to be involved in that."
