Julien Caminati kicked a last-minute penalty to hand Brive a narrow victory over Sale in the Challenge Cup.

Playing at Galashiels in the Scottish Borders to avoid the bad weather further south, Sale took an early lead through Nick Macleod's boot.

The full-back added another penalty and converted Mathew Tait's try to give Sharks a 13-12 advantage at the break.

But Caminati scored his fifth kick of the game in the 80th minute to sustain Brive's unbeaten record in pool two.
