Sheridan joined Sale from Bristol

Sale head coach Mike Brewer says the Sharks could face a battle to keep England prop Andrew Sheridan when his contract expires next summer.

French side Toulon are thought to be pursuing the 31-year-old.

"It's fairly well known that Sheri is having a look at France after the next World Cup," said Brewer.

"His next contract is likely to be his last major one and in our discussions, I've said that we won't be able to match the offers he'll get in France."

Brewer added: "Money doesn't drive Andrew - it's about lifestyle and where he feels comfortable.

"He's possibly done everything that he would want to here in England and he's having a look abroad."
