Sale winger Mark Cueto has been suspended for two weeks after being found guilty for a dangerous tackle on Bath's Andrew Higgins.

The 29-year-old faced a Rugby Football Union disciplinary panel in Warrington on Tuesday over the incident during their Premiership match on 27 March.

Cueto was reported after the incident by the independent citing officer, former Scotland captain Budge Pountney.

England international Cueto will be free to play again on 22 April.

Sale won the game against Bath at Edgeley Park 23-16, with Cueto scoring a try.
