Sale coach Kingsley Jones has claimed the "Edgeley Park factor" may prove decisive against Brive in the European Challenge Cup quarter-final on Friday. Sharks have won their last two matches, with both games at home. He told BBC Radio Manchester: "Playing at home again is good, having three home games on the trot has been great. "Hopefully the Edgeley Park factor will be the extra man. Playing in a different tournament keeps the interest three weeks on the trot for the fans." He added: "It's not the teams we know everything about all the time which tends to happen in the Premiership so we're definitely looking forward to the game. | Brive look very similar to the French national team in their style of play so we know what we're up against Sale coach Kingsley Jones |
"Brive are a very much-improved team, as I saw after watching them this week. I watched them six months ago and, in comparison, their all-round line-up has improved. "They now have the French defence coach David Ellis and certainly their defence, including line-out play, is much better. "They like to play rugby from everywhere and they look very similar to the French national team in their style of play so we know what we're up against."
