Sale's Argentine second row Ignacio Fernandez Lobbe will join Northampton Saints this summer following their promotion back to the Premiership.

The 33-year-old, whose brother Juan Martin also plays for the Sharks, helped them to the Premiership title in 2005 after joining from Castres.

Lobbe is the Saints' seventh signing ahead of next season.

He said: "I'm really happy to move. I hope that I can help them get to being a top club in England."
